My Once Upon a Time Physical Video Game Collection
Last Updated: 09/20/2023
With the rise, and the promise of games going into a more... I'll say reliable digital format... I had sold off my physical collection starting in like I think 2007. And concluded later in I think it was 2012?
Something I would later regret doing when it came to all my N64, GC, Wii, GBA and NDS games... as well as some GB / GBC and SNES games as they were already complete with the boxes, manuals and ads as I was just going to later rebuy them all complete again at a later time... But prices rose crazy high.
I just sold them all out of boredom and curiosity, as EB Games, (Now GameStop), wouldn't lift a finger unless I said, RIGHT THERE and THEN, that, yes..., "I'm selling."
While it got me over I think $1300+ instore credit, to which I would later use to get my Wii U and a few games..., would have been much better had I waited, as it also would have reduced the taxes..., so I got ripped off there. And I also could have just got all my games digitally from the start, since Nintendo apparently handled both the Nintendo points and the eShop much better by that point.
So I wasted a lot of money there as I just turned around and went all digital, which is what I wanted to do from the very start.
And now knowing what I know, I never made the same mistake going forward with the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
