For those of you who live in Canada, Newfoundland, Mount Pearl & St. Johns area...
On October 1, 2023, sometime during the night..., my cat Neko, (who's suppose to be an indoor cat), has gotten out..., and has been missing ever since.
She originated from Greenwood Crescent. (Due to privacy reasons, the house number will be provided upon a call to return her.)
Should I not answer, please kindly leave a very descriptive phone message..., and if you are able..., please try to obtain and text a picture, or a video of her.
And many thanks in advance.
(It's now March 19, 2024, at the time of this update)
Given the amount of time that has passed... the terrible weather that we've been having... the fact that no one has contacted me for a long while of a possible sighting of her... thee amount of posters that have been taken down..., tampered with, and or, actively vandalized...
I'm now strongly leaning towards thinking that someone likely has her... provided that she's still alive.
And if you see this..., and you have her..., to please, kindly give her back.
For clarity..., I'm not saying that (You), did these bad things listed above... Just that these things are what brought me to this current conclusion.
Someone completely unrelated could just be going around, just trying to make trouble, just to make me upset.
If you wish to try to catch her yourself..., here be some Tips...
- Offering her Temptation cat treats - Calling out "Neko... Neko Neko Ni." - Offering her specifically a (Mr.Noodles) box

***Updates on Neko***
03/09/2024: If you're still alive Neko..., I really do hope you're safe and somewhere warm from this storm. I really do miss you.
01/14/2024: I received a text from someone on Winston Avenue asking if I was still missing my cat, and I had said yes.
They said that they'll try to catch the cat that they seen. Sadly... this isn't her. But does look a lot like her.
But many thanks for trying. I do really appreciate.
01/02/2024: I went to go simply check the mail... only to be greeted by this... someone burned my Neko is missing photo that I had placed on the mail box thing up the road from my house and in various specific places. Thankfully... It was the only one I had to replace today. The rest are however just slowly fading or getting very discolored due to the weather.
And yes, I did report this to the City of Mount Pearl on my travels today. They took a note... but not sure if they'll actually do anything.
01/01/2024: Happy New Year Neko... I hope you're safe, warm and fed where ever you currently are right now... I love and miss you greatly.
12/25/2023: Merry Christmas Neko... I hope you're safe, warm and fed where ever you currently are right now... I love and miss you greatly.
12/21/2023: It would appear I've overworked myself last night as I went out somewhat late... sort of fell asleep on the trails on a bench, in the cold, got caught in the rain and as a result... got Ill... and threw up.
I do not feel ok at all. And I need to take it easy as I'm not much good to my cat or anyone if I neglect my health.
12/13/2023: Upon returning home from a friend's house... (Walked all the way from Downtown, which is where I was since late 11/24/2023 night, due to trying to be supportive since there was a recent loss in his family), I continued to walk around Mount Pearl, once again, late 12/12/2023 night, to inspect the photos...
And I noticed 3 of my photos have been taken down..., and another, tampered with... almost as if someone was trying to remove it... but had left it as they didn't want to get caught removing it.
SERIOUSLY... NOT OK.
I am running out of supplies. Ink, paper, tape... Ziplock bags... very costly.
Please Stop REMOVING THEM.
Thank you.
And to all of those who continue to take the time to help, in some way, shape and or form, I greatly appreciate as it really does mean a lot. And I thank you greatly.
I was very surprised to see that someone had taken the time to help reinforce the current tape, as well as to learn that others are also trying to lure her with food.
Hopefully with all of your help, I'll get her back soon. I really do miss her.
11/20/2023: More ink has been acquired... and even after I've added (Please Stop Removing) to the photo, they still get removed and thrown out by someone... Seriously NOT ok.
Either someone has her and wants to keep her... or these people are just very mean and just doing this for cruelty.
She's my cat and I want her back.
11/13/2023: Still no luck finding her... and someone's been going around taking down my posters of her, most notably on the trails by my house, Greenwood Crescent, all the way up to Common Wealth.
I went from using packing tape, and have later since switched to Duct Tape due to my friend's advisory and have done stress tests on all posters. So I know it's not the wind.
But both the photo and tape in most cases are completely gone.
My mom has called City of Mount Pearl to see if they might be the ones behind it. But they claim they aren't, and that they wouldn't ever do such a thing.
I'm now out of ink so I can't replace them until further notice. So please know..., she has yet to be found. I have run into many with smiles saying things like... "Oh hi. Good you found your cat. I noticed the picture was taken down." Only to then be told... "Nope. Someone's been taking them down." with their faces going from a smile... to a look of absolute dread and disgust. And then they say things like... "Who would do such a thing... that's horribly cruel."
So with that said, If you should happen upon someone removing the photos, please report them ASAP. 1-709-764-1990. And for your safety, please do not engage with them.
If you would like to help and have a printer, ink, paper, a spare Ziplock bag or few and tape..., live in the Mount Pearl & St. Johns area and would like to help, you're more then welcome to as it would be greatly appreciated.
11/06/2023: I received a call informing me a cat, that looks a lot like my cat, has been seen around the Pearl House Manor in Mount Pearl on Park Avenue and that it's been around for the past few days, and that it looks like it might be lost.
10/17/2023: Today (10/17/2023) I received 2 phone calls from 2 individuals, one at 10:03am, and another, at 5:18pm, both stating that they've seen a cat that looked very much like my cat up by the Sunrise Animal Hospital Veterinarian in Mount Pearl on the trails on Commonwealth Ave.
And I really hoped that she might have been found.
I went both times and I wasn't able to find and confirm the first time... but the 2nd time, I had found this cat.
But sadly, it gave very little to no response to me when called... and also... I couldn't really get a very good look... as it proceeded to run off.
But I do thank everyone for trying, and I do hope very much for everyone to continue to do so. I strongly appreciate any and all possible leads, big or small and all support.
